I first meet Lulu as an unstarted 3 yr/old. She was purchase for a friend of mine that was looking for a trail mount and that could also be shown by her daughter. This mare was one of the easiest horses that I have had to pleasure to start and after 30 days was hauled to local parks for more exposure and then to her new home. Lulu found herself with nothing to do but an occasional trail ride and standing still to get brushed. (Every horses dream of course.) Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was asked if I would be interested in purchasing her and I was very happy to do so.
Since Lulu has been back I have found out some wonderful things. Not only does this mare like to chase the dogs and flag but she also has a taste for chasing cows. Lulu is a granddaughter of RUGGED LARK so I knew that she possessed the capability to excel in many events. With the basics of reining under her belt and the gaits for the pleasure arena this mare really does have the potential to be an amazing mount for Showing or just trail riding.
Lulu loves the trails and to work obstacles for trail classes. Ridden along the Road, Leg yields, side passes, lead departures from walk, footwork for spins, stopping square also started on ground poles, 12" jumps and showmanship patterns. Will be used in the lesson program for the summer and have plans to show her.
